We provide transactional advice and construction expertise to owners, builders and contractors in connection with large construction projects. Our construction attorneys bring decades of hands-on experience garnered while working in the construction industry. So they understand issues and concerns from the client perspective.
We work closely with each client throughout the process - from contract formation and administration, through change management, to the opening of the facility - to help them bring the project to completion on budget, while avoiding disputes.
When disputes and litigation do arise, we bring our clients accomplished litigators who have successfully and cost-effectively litigated numerous construction-related claims; including competitive bid disputes, change order disputes, lien disputes, design defenct and professional malpractice claims, personal injury claims, foreclosures and environmental and toxic tort claims.
JDO routinely represents school districts, housing authorities and other public entities in every aspect of construction and real estate law. Specifically, we advise school districts on construction projects exceeding $100 million annually, and are proud of our role in building and improving classrooms for Alaska's students.
