MARK MELCHERT is a member of the firm focusing primarily on Business and Commercial law and Commercial Litigation. He represents business and government clients in a broad range of transactional matters, as well as dispute resolution including litigation.
Mr. Melchert's experience includes:
- Negotiating and drafting a variety of commercial agreements including easements, leases with federal agencies and other leases, stock and business asset sale and purchase agreements, and financing agreements.
- Negotiating and successfully resolving contract disputes.
- Representing shareholders in shareholder disputes and related litigation.
- Developing Public Contract Solicitations.
- Obtaining a federal grant to support a client's native lands program.
- Successfully resolving a number of issues and disputes involving "rights of way", native lands and the public interest.
- Preparing and maintaining various corporate documents.
- Arranging site control for HUD-funded programs.
- Representing a range of clients in litigation involving property, commercial and business disputes.
Mr. Melchert served as a summer fellow in the McArthur Program on Peace and International Cooperation. He is also a board member of the Minnesota Justice Foundation.
