RAYMOND E. GOAD, JR. is a member of the firm. Ray practices labor law, employee benefits (ERISA) law and general litigation. Ray serves as counsel to labor unions, including the University of Alaska Federation of Teachers Local 2404 and the International Longshore and Warehouse Union Unit 223.

Ray has also served as an adjunct professor at Alaska Pacific University, teaching undergraduate courses in Law and Citizenship, and graduate courses in Law and Corporate Leadership. He has also written on the use of alternative dispute resolution in resolving business disputes. Prior to joining JDO in 2005, Ray was the Assistant Executive Director and General Counsel for a large labor union in Alaska. Ray was also an associate at a large, Seattle-based law firm and an associate at a large, full-service law firm in Minneapolis, Minnesota. When he has spare time, Ray enjoys training hunting retrievers, waterfowl and upland bird hunting, and fly-fishing. |
